Cinema Stills

Cinematography has always been fascinating and captivating for me as a photographer, the pinnacle of fictional photographic story telling is the cinema still, encapsulating a moment of a moving image to create an ominous moment of narrative. I started my cinema stills with a mini series Tuyo based on the Narcos Neflix series theme song called ‘Tuyo’, a love song with the subtext meaning of cocaine and crime, using a line from the song to convey a story of a drug runner moving a shipment of cocaine that ends with his death.

Hotline is the next iteration of the series, using tropes of 1980s cinema and cinematography from the neflix series Sex Education, to create an sinister narrative using phones. Due to covid-19, this project is currently on hold until restrictions allow for on-location shoots with models.
